RESPIRATION AMPLIFIER :-

The RSP100C is designed for direct physical measurement of respiratory effort. Each RSP100C amplifier requires one TSD201 respiration transducer.The RSP100C works with the TSD201 transducer to measure abdominal or thoracic expansion and contraction while breathing. The RSP100C permits DC coupling to the TSD201 for the recording of respiratory effort signals of arbitrarily low frequency. Front panel controls allow selection of absolute or relative expansion/contraction measurements.

The SS5LB records respiratory effort. The transducer is a rugged strain assembly that measures the change in thoracic or abdominal circumference. The transducer presents minimal resistance to movement and is extremely unobtrusive. Due to its novel construction, the SS5LB can measure extremely slow respiration patterns with no loss in signal amplitude while maintaining excellent linearity and minimal hysteresis. The conductance of the gauge is linear with applied linear stretch; for very small linear stretch, the conductance versus stretch is quite linear.

BioNomadix Respiration Transducer :-

The BioNomadix Respiration Transducer records respiratory effort. The transducer connects to a BioNomadix RSP transmitter (BN-RSP2 or BN-RSPEC) to measure changes in thoracic or abdominal circumference that occur as a subject breathes. The design presents minimal resistance to movement and is extremely unobtrusive. Due to its novel construction, the RSP transducer can measure arbitrarily slow to very fast respiration patterns with no loss in signal amplitude, while maintaining excellent linearity and minimal hysteresis. The CO2100C module measurement is based upon the single beam, single wavelength technique (SBSW), where wavelength selection is implemented via a carefully specified narrow-band optical filter. The speed of response is obtained by generating a fast infrared carrier signal, which is attenuated by the infrared absorption of carbon dioxide present, and a detection system that converts fast changes of this attenuation into an electrical output.The CO2100C offers a stable and inherently linear measurement of carbon dioxide.Utilizes Servomex, Inc. technology for CO2 concentration signal processing.

Obtain real-time Oxygen Consumption (VO2) and Respiratory Exchange Ratio (RER) measurements using a BIOPAC data acquisition system with the Gas Analysis module and some air flow accessories.Measure expired O2 and CO2 concentrations.When the subject inspires, air will be drawn into the GASSYS2 through the SS11LA/B air flow transducer, which is placed on the inspiration side to eliminate any effects associated with expired air humidity.When the subject expires, air will be directed to the GASSYS2 module, which is designed to work with saturated expired air.
